Thought Leadership

Thousands of companies are already benefiting from Enterprise Scrum.

Agilize Everything with Enterprise Scrum!

Wealth has never been created and destroyed faster than it is today.  Our business needs and challenges have never been more immediate and complex.  While Scrum has been tremendously effective for 20+ years in software development, with Enterprise Scrum we can:

  • Make Scrum Better with a framework for many issues not addressed in the Scrum Guide
  • Make Scrum General enough to apply to any business department, function or domain
  • Make Scrum Scalable across large projects and programs, even whole global businesses.

Business Agility is the ability to respond quickly and effectively to all forms of change to deliver maximum value and customer experience.  Enterprise Scrum, pioneered by Mike Beedle, is a powerful Business Agility Framework for teams and whole organizations to manage everything that matters in a truly agile, adaptive, all-at-once, customer-centric way.

Who was Mike Beedle?

Mike Beedle was a co-author of the Agile Manifesto and co-founder and CEO of three Scrum-managed companies, including Enterprise Scrum, Inc.  On March 23, 2018, Mike was killed on the street in an apparent robbery.  In the words of Scrum creator Jeff Sutherland, “the Scrum and Agile community has lost a giant.”

Mike co-authored the first book and papers on “Agile” and “Scrum” and trained thousands in his Scrum certification classes.  He was a PhD in theoretical physics who made leaps to finance, software, management and teaching.  He could pick up and play almost any instrument, get around and get along with people anywhere in the world, and was the proud and loving father of six children.

It’s fair to say that his passion for learning and improvement, for all kinds of people and work that mattered, touched and helped transform the lives of millions of people.  His passion lives on in the practices he pioneered and the people he taught.

This page and the materials offered here can help you transform your work, your organization, and the world.  Explore.  Experiment.  Evolve.  And please share your stories and learning with others.  Mike Beedle will live on in all the good work Enterprise Scrum will support.

What is Enterprise Scrum?

Mike developed the ES Framework for Business Agility based countless adaptations he’d seen and tested in practice.  He worked to make Scrum better, to generalize it for any domain, and to scale it across any size initiative and organization.  Here is Enterprise Scrum in Mike’s own words:

Mike trained and certified others to teach and coach Enterprise Scrum.  Here are some of the materials they’ve added to the ES body of knowledge:
